ABSTRACT Thesis Title : THE ANALYZE OF RELIGION EDUCATION AT ATVENTIST DHARMA PUTRA SCHOOL ABOUT SPIRITUALITY GROWING THE STUDENTS BASED ON PROVERB 22:6 Researcher : Manik Hotber Name and Title : Magister Filsafat (M. Fil) The Leader : Dr. B. D. Nainggolan, MPS Date of finishing : April 2018 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, although the youngest child, who loves and fears of the Lord, is the biggest in His sight than the smartest and educated, who doesn’t care about salvation himself. The youth people, who surrender heart and their souls to the Lord, connect their selves to the wisdom and glory. The development of this era, oftentimes the characteristics or behavior of the youth people have been unlike what the parents hope, where is many cleaver or smart youth people, but don’t have the characteristics or behavior or spirituality that show fear of the Lord. So actually religion education is very important and should have more time in curriculum education at school, until it can compose the characteristics or behavior of the youth people. The history of education system in the world actually early in the Garden of Eden where is the first man God created in the world. And the system likes God created that should be followed by Education nowadays especially in education school of Adventist Church. Every teacher at school who teaches in other lessons also must have the higher spirituality, and the knowledge about God’s words, so the spirituality of the students can grow and be ready person in environment area to be an evident and model in characteristics to other youth people or environment. The purpose of this research is first, to get the Lord’s concept about part of school in religion education about spirituality the students based on proverbs 22:6. Second, to give the correct analyze about the influence of Adventist Dharma Putra School to the spirituality of the students. Third, to make a research to know is there the influence of Adventist Dharma Putra School in religion education to the spirituality of the students in their future. Fourth, to know how far the influences of religion education in building the students’ spirituality in each aspect of life at Adventist Dharma Putra School. The concept will be beginning with discussion about Proverbs, background, the writer of Proverbs, the influence of Proverb 22:6, the influence religion education at school to the spirituality growing of the students, then the influence the teachers to the students’ spirituality, the importance of religion education at school, think’s plan, and hypotheses the base of research. The technique in taking the sample is simple random sampling is taking the sample by choosing the students by proportional from each class. The researcher takes 30% of sum population of the Adventist Dharma Putra students. The quantitative research uses the method by questionnaire instrument administration. The research’s instrument is the accumulation the data that is questionnaire that will be tested the validation and reliability. The instrument in this research is the statement’s list. The comprehension instrument “The Effect of Religion Education at Adventist Dharma Putra School about Spirituality Growing the Students in Proverbs 22:6”. The instruments’ grille consist of the name of indicator they are, the spirituality characteristic in school environment, build the students’ behavior in Christian ethic life, the teachers be the model in spirituality to the students, the discipline should be run well. The total of the respondent in this research are 197 students of 10 kinds of respondent and fill 20 questionnaire questions. The rules of experiment the research are needed to know to consider revising the data for testing the hypotheses can continue or not. Some techniques of analyze demand the rules of instrument. The research’s’ variant regulations show the data come from the normal distribution population and the groups that compare homogeneous. That’s why the variant of the research regulations the normal experiment and data homogeneous. The conclusion of this research they are first, the school prepares the students to be a young people that have good behavior and also have the spirituality higher than the other youth people that have the value 4.61, at school environment the students always show respect to the older people than them by greeting and at school environment, the teachers to be a model that imitated by the students in characteristics. Second, the teacher’s actor to educate the students until they have the spirituality behavior that is ready to be a leader around the environment that have the great behavior where is the religion education at home very influence in doing right at school and the students always be taught to give priority to God in each learning process whether at school or at home and the most at the environment. The teachers at school have good spirituality to be sampled the students. The students show the good behavioral when they are at school or at home and the most at the environment. Fourth, there is influence the teachers and parents as big as 4.43 where are they work together to direct the mind and heart of the students to be more discipline whether at home or at school. The discipline to the students is to tell the mistakes and to revive and to build them and to perfect the behavior. The suggestion that the researchers give is first, need to give the comprehension about the God concept about the concept of the school in religion education of the spirituality the students so that The Influence of Religion Education at Adventist Dharma Putra School about the Spirituality Growing of The Students based on Proverbs 22:6 is more advance. Second, The teachers and parents should be a model in discipline aspect so that have the influence to the Adventist Dharma Putra School in religion education of the students in their future. Third, the religion education that should be received better in young ages because will influence their spirituality in future. Fourth, the teachers should always emphasize to the students in teaching that the resource of the knowledge is from the Lord so that at Adventist Dharma Putra School teach religion education that build the behavior until the students’ behavior more show the Christian ethic life. The implication of this research is the education system that improves in the early of the world will be the model to the man along the era. The system of the Adventist Dharma Putra School, each student has to get the education based on the brain brilliance and soul also the spirituality that reflect the glory of the created. As parents are very responsible in the family to direct them in God’s way and bring them to the school that has the religion education higher that other lessons. The important thing in religion education in improving the spirituality the students at Adventist Dharma Putra School is to direct mind and heart each student, to fear of the Lord.
