ABSTRACT DIFFERENCES OF BLOOD PRESSURE IN PATIENTS WITH DEGREE I HYPERTENSION ON THE USING OF DRY CUPPING THERAPY IN CIHANJUANG RAHAYU VILLAGE Dindo Risko Handoyo Sumarno ID: 1151086 This research was conducted to find out about differences in blood pressure of patients with degree 1 hypertension against dry cupping therapy in Cihanjuang Rahayu Village. The method used is pre experimental with one group pretest-posttest design model. Samples used as many as 32 patients with degree I hypertension in Cihanjuang Rahayu village selected using Non-Probability technique purposive sampling model. The instrument used is a digital sphygmomanometer as a blood pressure meter and a cupping instrument. This study found that the average of the respondent's blood pressure before the dry cupping therapy was in the blood pressure category of hypertension degree I, while the blood pressure after being given dry cupping therapy was in the category of pre-hypertensive blood pressure. The results showed that there was a significant difference in blood pressure of patients with grade 1 hypertension in Cihanjuang Rahayu Village before and after dry cupping therapy (p value <α 0.05). Suggestions given regarding to the results of this study is this research can be used as input about the use of cupping therapy as a complementary treatment in degree I hypertension. This study is also expected to be developed in further research on the comparison of wet and dry cupping therapy to patients with degree I hypertension blood pressure.
