ABSTRACT THEOLOGICAL ANALYSIST THE LAW ENTERED, THAT THE OFFENCE MIGHT ABOUND BASED ON ROME 5:20 IN THE CHURCH OF YORDAN AMBON Terry Carlo Italilpessy NIM: 1211013 This research studied about the understanding of, the law entered, that the offence might abound and grace more abound. Based on Rome 5:20, be inspected in Yordan Ambon Church. Based on four question which in the Scope of Problems, such as: what is the function of the Law, what is God pourpose to entered the Law, what is the meaning of the Law was entered, is abundant grace have a limit, how the understanding of the member of the Church of Yordan Ambon about Rome 5:20. A summary for the question of what is the function of the Law, are: as a mirror, as a guide for human life, and as a standart for the judgment. A summary for the question of what is the meaning of the Law was entered, are: so that the offence might abound. But that is not the primary pourpose of the Law. Because it’s sin makes human continue to break the Law. A summary for the question of, what is the meaning of the Law was entered, are: The Law was pre-existing. God has given the Law for example 10 commandments to human even before man sin. In the begining the Law was writen in human consience (Adam and Eve) Why? because man was created according to the image of God. But because of sin, make the image of God in human being was broken, therefore God has given the writen Law to the human. A summary for the question of, is grace have a limit, are: grace that God has given is unlimited, but human is limited them self for the grace, the way to limited the grace is, reject that grace. Next is abandon the grace. Next is deny the grace. The questionnaire result of field research to 30 members of Jordan Ambon Sevent-day Adventist Church, conclude the respondents had a good understanding about the function of the Law, the meaning of the Law was entered, and the limit for the grace. Whilte the statment of P8, P9, P10. Have not understood. Suggested that church members Yordan Ambon cooperate with pastor who serve the church of Yordan, to get bible seminars especially from Romans 5:20 Key words: Law, Entered and Abundant grace.
