ABSTRACT Thesis Title : “ANALYSIS OF THE 1999 EFFECT OF CONFLICT TO THE GROWTH OF THE CHRCH MEMBERS IN SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH AT TERNATE CITY AND WEST HALMAHERA BASED ON FALSAFAH LUK 21:16-19.” Researcher Name : Max Aris Jongki Sabono Name and Title : Master of Science of Philosophy (M.Fil) Supervisor : Dr. B. D. Nainggolan, MPS. End Date : April 2019 When God created this world, everything is so beautiful and harmonious, there is peace and quiet until sin destroys everything. One of the things that happened due to the fall was conflict between humans. Starting from Cain and Abel, the conflict continues to this day. And the direct consequences of conflict result in trauma and pressure for those who survived the conflict. The conflict that occurred in North Maluku in 1999 was all the impact of what happened in Kao and Malifut Subdistricts why the conflicts or riots that occurred in Kao and Malifut Subdistricts were not inter-religious conflicts or religious conflicts but these conflicts occurred because of the boundary of the agreement. so the conflict spread throughout North Maluku Province Prolonged conflicts that occurred in Maluku and North Maluku caused huge losses. Why, because of the large number of victims of property, this event also reminds us all that the history of North Maluku Province that in the King's era every hundred years there must have been conflict between religious people in the Four Sultanates in North Maluku, but when the conflict of Ternate Sultanate was not agree with the occurrence of conflicts or riots that occurred. Conflicts or riots that occurred in Ternate and West Halmahera did not make church members far from God, but they were stronger and stronger in completing God's work, God's people always testified to Jesus from time to time. God's work is still carried out by God's people because of the full belief that God will be with them in His work, so that in the last few years there have been several churches that have been revived and added membership. The author makes this research with the following objectives: first, all members of the congregation realize that through this riot they must be truly loyal to Jesus Christ. both members of the congregation were fully aware that through this event they must be more enthusiastic in evangelism, third through the tragedy of this riot all members of the congregation realized that they must work for the Lord in maintaining their faith only in Christ and not for themselves, The author also through this thesis hopes that all members of the church held by this study can increase the faith and spirituality of church members so that they remain in the truth until Jesus comes. Through this research, it is also expected that all churches can carry out their duties and responsibilities as a church that fosters and holds the truth of examples in the field of personal service. The research was held in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ternate and West Halmahera, Manado and North Maluku Province with the aim that church members experience spiritual growth and evangelism. The method used in this study is library data and field data created through descriptive methods and data collection mechanisms used by distributing questionnaires. The results showed that there was little influence that had an impact on the spiritual growth of church members who were traumatized in maintaining their faith and spirituality by 21.5%, making some church members less courageous in evangelism. The final part of the study is conclusions from research in the field, implications and suggestions from the authors so that the results of this study underline the influence on the spiritual growth of church members when members understand correctly how to maintain faith in situations of conflict or riots.
