XMLABSTRACK Thesis Title : THE ANALYSIS VIEWS OF SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH MEMBERS IN KEDIRI DISTRICT ABOUT DIVORCE ACCORDING TO MALACHI 2:16 Researcher Name : Kuswindarto Name and Title : M.Fil Supervisor : Dr. Bartolomeus D Nainggolan, MPS End date : April 20, 2015 Malachi 2: 10-16 discuss the infidelity of Israel against their own people (verse 10), their spiritual family (verses 11-12) and their marriage partner (verses 13-16), who proved through prostitution, intermarriage with couples who do not believe , adultery and the last is divorce. Disloyalty raised this section is, divorce and marriage are not balanced with unbelievers. Both desecrate God's holy law. Malachi 2:16, God declares, "For I hate divorce, says the Lord, the God of Israel. This means that God is not pleased with the divorce. Many Israelis have divorced their wives and married to foreign women. The prophet denounces their divorce was forbidden as a heinous act. Separations are an abomination of God. Nowhere else in the Old Testament who approve of divorce, although the Old Testament determine what to do in certain circumstances where the divorce occurred. However the reality, there are divorce cases occurred among church members who have dozens or even tens of years as a member Seventh-day Adventist Church. The writing is trying to identify a problem that becomes the direction of the author is quite possible a member of the church already understand that God hates divorce and understand its influence, but the divorce took place among members of the church as a solution to the problem of household The research was conducted to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kediri District about their view of divorce according to Malachi 2:16, and the survey was conducted on 120 respondents representing 25% of the 476 members of the church in the District of Kediri. The author would like to know the views of members of the church about the divorce. Theological views in this study is divided into three parts, namely, the church members views on divorce, church members views on marriage and the church members views on the effect of divorce according to Malachi 2:16. The average total value of each indicator give 3.9154 point, meaning that members of the church in the District of Kediri understand biblical information and explanations about the divorce. It is expected, that the church members are always harmonious marriage, can be considered in the following ways, among others, is to choose a pair that faith, premarital counseling in full. And is a happiness when God couples united in marriage can enjoy the marital relationship in household full of happiness and remain faithful until death.
