ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF PROFITABILITY ON CORPORATE VALUE IN TELECOMMUNICATION SUB SECTOR COMPANIES WHICH IS LISTED IN INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE IN 2011-2018 Written by: Homi Nego Simanjuntak 1631046 This study aims to determine how the effect of profitability on company value in telecommunications sub-sector companies in 2011-2018. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis by the author, it can be seen that profitability and company value have increased and decreased each year. From the results of data processing from the analysis of the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.265 which means that there is a low and positive relationship between profitability and corporate value. t arithmetic is 1,698 α = 0.05 so it can be concluded that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected which means that there is no significant effect between profitability and firm value in the telecommunications sub-sector companies registered at Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2018. Judging from KD = 0.070 which means the contribution of profitability to changes in company value is 7% and the remaining 93% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Based on a simple linear regression analysis Y = 7.471 + 5.149X which means that if the profitability coefficient is 0, then the value of the company already exists at 7.471 and the profitability variable is positive at 5.149, which means that every increase in profitability of 1 unit then the value of the company increases by 5,149. Nevertheless it was found that the above equation was not significant at p = 0.098> α = 0.05. Keywords: Profitability, Company Value
