ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF WORK MOTIVATION ON THE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES IN PT ULTRA JAYA Tbk. Written by: Tiurma Sihombing NIM: 0931027 The purpose of the research conducted by the authors is to know how the motivation effects on employees performance at PT. Ultra Jaya Tbk. The method used in this research was descriptive method where the research is done by describing the state of the company at the present time through the data collected and then processed, analyzed, and finally drawn its conclusions. The data collection was done by spreading questionnaires, and documentation study. Data were processed using simple regression statistical tools and tests of significance. Based on the results showed that the motivation of work is still considered good enough (66.81%). For the level of employee performance has been rated as good (80.38%). Work motivation significantly influence employee performance with a total contribution of 47.6%, while the remaining 52.4% is the influence or contribution of other variables not studied beyond research. From the results of SPSS output results obtained t test for motivation variable (X) of 5.480 and pvalue (Sig.) 0,000 Due to t test greater than the value t table (5.480> 2.035) and a significant value 0.000 <0.05 then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that work motivation significant influence on employee performance.
