ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF MOTIVATION AND WORK DISCIPLINE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN GOVERNMENT OFFICE DISTRICT BANDUNG BARAT Written by: Desliani Panjaitan NIM: 1331007 The purpose of this study is to find out how the influence of motivation and discipline of work on the performance of employees In the Office of West Bandung regency government method was used in this study is descriptive method of data obtained through actual circumstances, analyzed, then will be concluded. Average, determination coefficient analysis and simple linier regression, hypothesis test. The population in this study was the Office of West Bandung Regent with sample employees in BKPSDM with the total of the respondents were 30. From the results of the research motivation In West Bandung Regent Office has an average value of 3.38 and work discipline also has a result with an average value of 3.94 while employee performance has a result of an average value of 4.01. Based on the result of statistical analysis of correlation coefficient analysis (rs) of 0.406 which showed moderate level and positive. While the statistical test (t) in cannot arithmetic>table 3.779> 1.701. For a significant test in 0.001 <0.005 which means motivation and discipline work simultaneously or together affect the performance of employees. The simple linear regression results show that motivation and work discipline have a positive impact on employee performance with the equation Y = 6.959 + 0.393X1 + 0.658. The result of determination coefficient showed R square equal to 65.70% while the rest was 81.00% influenced by other factors outside this research variable.
