PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI PADA UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA

ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF LEADERSHIP STYLE&MOTIVATION TOWARD PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEE IN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA Arranged by: Sitompul, Allen Pricilia NIM: 1231021 This study aimed to determine the effect of partially leadership style toward performance of employee; the effect of partially motivation toward performance of employee; and the effect of simultaneously between leadership style and motivation toward performance of employee in Adventist University of Indonesia in Bandung. Methods of sample selection used the stratified random sampling, whereas the method of analysis used in this research was multiple linear regression analysis. Data processing was performed using SPSS software version 16. Based on the research resulted, obtained in mind that the significance test results were partial effect of leadership style toward performance of employee with t-calculate = 0,505 < t-table 1,99085 and a significance value was 0.615 > 0.05 so that Ha was rejected; there was a partial effect of motivation toward performance of employee with t-calculate = 3,512> t-table 1,99085 and a significance value was 0.001< 0.05 so that Ha was accepted; and there was a simultaneous effect of leadership style and motivation toward performance of employee with F-calculate =14,692> Ftable 3.11and the significance value was 0.000 < 0.05 so that Ha was accepted. The results of multiple linear regression showed that the leadership style and motivation had a positive influence toward performance of employee by the equation Y = 21,173 + 0.040X1 + 0.303X2 + e. The coefficient of determination showed that the contribution of both variables leadership style and motivation toward performance employee was 27,4%% and the remaining 72,6% was influenced by other factors outside this study. The results of this study indicated that the leadership style and motivation had positive and significant impact toward performance of employee..
