ABSTRAC Thesis title : “THE PERCEPTION ANALYSIS OF THE SEVENTHDAY ADVENTIST MEMBER IN SEMARANG ABOUT THE SAFETY EFFECT OF THE ENTIRE FAMILY TO THE CHURCH GROWTH BASED ON ACTS 16: 30-34.” Researcher : Yusak Subagiyanto Degree : Master of Philosophy(M.Fil) Supervisor : Dr. B. Completion date: January, 10, 2016 The perception analysis of the Seventh-day Adventist members in Semarang is about the salvation effect of the entire family to the church growth based on Acts 16: 30-34. Key words: salvation, family and the church growth. The discussion about “The safety effect of the entire family to the church growth” in Acts 16: 30-34 is very relevant in nowadays, because family is the main component in the society and also the church. The institution of household is established by God in the creation to declare His character in the family, but since the human fall in the sin, the power is snatched away by Satan and the family of the human is in the Satan’s influence. The importance of the household institution as the salvation missin is thick portion of family, chuch and nation, so every family has to make their household as the little heaven in the world, where the love grow and the God’s will is filled throughthe husband-wife relationship that are mutual respect for one another as well as the family into a comfortable place to build the character of children. Satan was already successed in teasing of the first family that was made of God falled in the sin, and until now Satan make the family as the main target in defeat the God’s plan. The Christian family has to realize that Satan always try to defeat the God’s plan through the family problems. For example are the husband-wife relationship problems, the education and mischief of the children that are influenced by the bad environment. Every Christian family also has to embattle their household by give priority to the christian values. The story of the jail head in Filipi besed on the Acts 16:30-34, bring along the whole family into the Christ and they have to be practised by every head of family or every parent in giving the good model to their children and also maintain the whole family to keep faithful in Jesus. The aim of the research that is conducted at the Seventh-day Adventists in Semarang, Central Java are to know the congregation’s understanding about the importance of the household, and the life basic of the christian family, then to look the strength of the role of parents for the family safety, and how many families that are fear of God give effect to the growth of the church. The method that is used in this research is quantitative research and data collection tools that is used in the form of a questionnaire to measure the safety effect of the whole family on Growth Congregation Based on Acts 16: 30-34 The result of the research shows that there is the relation between the church growth and the congregation’s understanding about the concept of the whole family salvation based on Acts 16: 30-34, and the precentage is 91,4 %. The effect of the family salvation to the church growth is proved by the understanding of the household importance, the basic life of the christian family also the role of the parent to their family safety and the total member of the christian family that are given the influence to the church. The lowest understanding is the result of the question number 10 with a total score of 3:46, show that in everyday life of the Seventh-day Adventists householdin Semarang are many people who still have not make Jesus as the head of the family by holding a morning or evening devotions together every day. This should be a serious concern over the role of a pastor to motivate each family in order to make Jesus as the head of the family through the morning and evening worship together every day. The final part is the conclusion of an analysis of field research, suggestions and implications that can be run so that every member of the congregation can understand the importance of the safety of the entire family that affect the growth of the church.
