ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKING AND ONLINE GAME ON STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION SMP ADVENT XIV BEKASI. By: Sarialam Ginting , This article contained about the effect of the use of social media networks and online games on the students motivation. Social media networking itself was a medium to exchange information easily and quickly using the Internet network without any restriction and online game play itself was a container which was very popular with today's youth. This was evidenced by the many teenagers often truant and spend time with cellur phone of the book, causing disrupted school activities. The purpose of this research was to explained and describe the factors that cause teens prefer Facebook and online games, as well as identify the effects of the use of social media networks and online games on the students motivation and describe how to overcome addiction to use social media networks and online games. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. The respondents in the study were junior high school students Advent XIV Bekasi. From the research found factors that cause social media networks and online games were the preferred social media networks and online games more interesting than school lessons. The effect on students' motivation such that the decline in student motivation, and how to overcome addiction networking social media and online gaming that was educated parents were needed, especially in matters of learning, teens more emphasis on learning from the play networking of social media and online gaming, providing motivation learning for adolescents.
