ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF MAINTENANCE COSTS OF SPEED MASTER PRINT ENGINE ON PRODUCTION UNIT PRODUCTIVITY IN INDONESIA PUBLISHING HOUSE Written by: WINDARTI JULIANA NIM: 1232118 This study was conducted to determine the maintenance costs of speed master print engine, the productivity of production unit and the influence of the maintenance costs of speed master print engine to the production unit productivity in Indonesia Publishing House. The method that used in this research was descriptive method. Data was collected with the study documentation, the data used are speed master engine maintenance costs and productivity of production units data. Data analysis used in this study were correlation coefficient analysis, a significant test, determination coefficient analysis and linear regression analysis. The survey results revealed that maintenance cost speed master print engine fluctuates per quarterly from 2013 and 2014. The maintenance costs speed master print engine was highest in the second quarter of 2014 amounted to Rp. 57,203,040.00 and the lowest occurred in the fourth quarter of 2013 amounted to Rp. 2,451,000.00. Production unit productivity also fluctuates per quarterly from 2013 and 2014. Increase of production units productivity was highest in the third quarter of 2013 amounted to 21.888 books and the lowest occurred in the third quarter of 2014 amounted to 2.342 books. Based on statistical calculation of the correlation coefficient r = 0.484 means that maintenance costs of speed master print engine related on the production unit productivity was quite positive. Significant test indicated by tcounted 1,354 < ttable 2,44691 means that Ho accepted and Ha rejected. The regression equation Y = 6411.9622 + 0,00019X which shows that maintenance costs speed master print engine did not significantly influence the production unit productivity and the coefficient of determination of 23.4% means the maintenance costs speed master print engine contribute to the production unit productivity by 23, 4% and the remaining 76.6% were caused by other factors outside of the research.
