ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF PROFITABILITY EFFECTS THE STOCK RETURN AT PT BANK PUNDI INDONESIA Written by : Teresa Corry Mathilda NIM : 1232214 This study aimed to determine how the implementation of the profitability applied by the company, the company’s stock return, and the influence of profitability effects the stock return at PT Bank Pundi Indonesia Tbk. The research was conducted at PT Bank Pundi Indonesia Tbk and was limited to the 2010 to 2014 time period. The variables used in this research were profitability (X) and stock return (Y). The profitability were the independent variable, and the stock return were dependent variable. This research was conducted using the descriptive statistical method, where data was obtained by collecting, analyzing and presenting data. Data collection techniques used in this research is through documentation of secondary data. The data was then analyzed using regression analysis, correlation coefficients, signification test, and coefficient of determination. Based on the analysis, the ratio profitability PT Bank Pundi Indonesia Tbk in 2010 – 2014 tended to incline, for December 2013 the return on equity reached the greatest point on 0,13, while on December 2010 they hit the lowest level of their return on equity to -0,35. Whereas stock returns of PT Bank Pundi Indonesia Tbk in 2010 – 2014 tended to decrease, on june 2012 stock return of this company reached their highest point for 0,45, while on December 2012 they hit the lowest level of their stock return to -0,28. Based on the calculation coeeficient of determination, it was known that a significant of r2 = 3,2% the number of customers affected by profitability while 96,8% was influenced by pther factors not addressed in this study.
