ABSTRACT MORION SDA CHURCH MEMBERS’, KOTA MARUDU, SABAH, MALAYSIA UNDERSTANDING ON ACCEPTANCE OF MEMBERSHIP WHO HAD PERFORMED GENITAL ORGAN EXCHANGE BASED ON 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9B AND 10 Soulement Reuel Jenson NIM: 1511029 In this study, the authors evaluate the understanding of the members of Morion Seventhday Adventist (SDA) Church, Kota Marudu, Sabah, Malaysia about the acceptance of church membership who had performed genital organ exchange (undergoes transgender procedure) based on 1 Corinthians 6: 9b and 10. The research is based on the understanding of 1 Corinthians 6: 9b and 10, the position and views of the SDA members on the acceptance of church membership who have undergone transgender procedure as the main element. This research is divided into two parts, namely theoretical research and field research. The result of theoretical research is to describe the position and views of the Morion Seventh-Day Adventists Church members on their acceptance of those who are transgendered or have undergone transgender procedure as members of the church. Theoretical research also shows the need of those who have transgendered in proving repentance so as not to become a stumbling block to other members. The results of the field research were conducted by dividing the questionnaire to 30 respondents. The results obtained showed that respondents did not understand the meaning and words contained in 1 Corinthians 6: 9b and 10 especially the words 'homosexuals' and 'sodomites.’ From this study, the authors found that respondents understood that the church should be made a spiritual hospital for those who live in darkness. It also teaches that there is no one, who can block if someone wants to repent and surrender himself to God. Keyword: Homosexuals, Sodomites, Transgender.
