ABSTRAK Thesis Title : PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS OF LEADERSHIP INVOLVEMENT ON THE NEW CHURCH MEMBER FROM ADVENTIST EDUCATION MINISTRY AT ADVENTIST NIAS SCHOOL BASED ON 1 PETER 5 : 2 Name of Researcher : David Frances Tampubolon Title : Master of Philisophy (M.Phil) Advisor : Dr. R. Hutabarat, Ph.D : Dr. RW. Sagala, M.PTh End Date : 1st of April 2019 One of the job that should be done by church member in self preparation to wait the second coming og God is the good news.Jesus is Saviour, as told in Mark 16: 15, 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. By involving in the Gospel ministry they are not only the Good listener but also will be Blessed. The listener that touched and decide to receive the savior, will more glad perfectly where they can feel closer with the other member, This is that God had told in 1 Peter 5 : 2 , Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; That is the a noble task that should be done by every church member is to take care of other church member in the church for every people who just receive the righteousness. The faith progress have to be watch whether it be increase or not. In this time there is some of church member, the leaders and even the priest no too care in keeping the new member that just baptized.There’s like an emptiness that they feel because of careless in among of church member. For example and also as a source of the writer’s research is the school that handled by Seventh Day Adventist church at Central Sumatra Mission exactly at Adventist School Nias where almost every year this school had baptized many people but in the end lost and defect. Therefore the writer try to discuss by this writing that titled PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS OF LEADERSHIP INVOLVEMENT ON THE NEW CHURCH MEMBER FROM ADVENTIST EDUCATION MINISTRY AT ADVENTIST NIAS SCHOOL BASED ON 1 PETER 5 : 2. Based on the scope of the proble above, so the writer state the problem formulation are. First, How the church member and leader understanding about the member keeping and visitation for the new member? Second, How the church member and leader understanding about the new student baptized situation and after they have graduated to face the economy problem? Third, How the church member and leader understanding about the new student baptized only to get the reward but do not understand the truth of the gospel yet? The purpose of the writer to do this research is: so that the member and the leader are really understand that they have the same duty to keep the new member and doing the visitation. By helping them to face the economy problem and give them the explanation of the gospel so the new member have the right motif. As the function the leader is able add the member knowledge wider and do the leadership by telling the truth of the gospel so the people is able to receive well to care the new member as the result of the school ministry. This research is intended to be motivation for the church member and the leader at SDA in school ministry to give the understanding of the righteousness and take care the new baptized. This research hoped can give References as early information in supporting the research in the same topic, and also opinion of every element who has the same problem or who want to make next research. The method used in this study is that field data is made through descriptive methods through the mechanism of data collection through distributing questionnaires. The result of this research shows that the leadership involvement in caring of the new church member from the school ministry is 93,5 %. Based on the average for every statement in the high category shows that every respondent know that caring of the new member by helping them to solve the economy problem is significantly effect on the Member Caring at member involvement. Solving so that the member more active in leadership by giving seminar , motivation, persuade to be involved to do the visitation, help them to solve the economy problem and also give the right reaching so they have the right understanding and motif.
