ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF BASIC EARNING POWER AND ROA TO THE VALUE OF COMPANIES LISTED IN BEI SECTOR FOOD AND DRINKS IN 2014-2016 Written by: Rafel Jonathan Haholongan NIM: 1432166 The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of basic earning power to the value of companies, the effect of ROA to the value of companies, and the effect of basic earning power and ROA to the value of companies listed in BEI sector food and drinks in 2014-2016. The method used is descriptive method. The authors in this study to process data by performing analysis, namely correlation coefficient analysis, determination, classical assumption test, significance test and regression coefficient analysis. Based on the results of research for the formulation of the first problem, it is known that there is a positive and significant effect between basic earning power to the value of companies. The result of correlation coefficient r = 0.877, coefficient of determination equal to 76.9%, t-count > t-table (11.102 > 2.206), and regression analysis found Y = 0.146 + 17.744X1. Based on the results of research for the formulation of the second problem, it is known that there is a positive and significant influence between ROA to the value of companies. Result of correlation coefficient r = 0.869, coefficient of determination equal to 75.5%, tcount > t-table (10.671 > 2.206), and regression analysis found Y = 0.244 + 22.988X2. Based on the results of research for the classical assumption test, it is known that the normality test is met, according to the standard, that is > 0.05. Multicollinearity test showed no multicollinearity. Heteroskedesity tests result in the absence of heteroskedesitas. Based on the results of research for the formulation of the third problem, it is known that there is a positive and significant influence between basic earning power ROA on the value of the company. Correlation coefficient r = 0.886, coefficient of determination equal to 78.5%, Fcount > F-table (62.623 > 3.26) and regresis analysis found Y = 0.123 + 10.555X1 + 9.967X2.
