ABSTRACT Thesis : PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS OF THE REMNANT’S LIFE IN THE CONTEXT OF WAITING AND ACCELERATING THE DAY OF LORD BASED ON 2 PETER 3:11 - 12 Researcher : Ridwan Sudiharjo Degree : Master of Philosophy (M.Fil) Advisor : Dr. Rudolf Weindra Sagala, MPTh Date : April 24, 2019 God still has faithful people in every age and throughout time to eternity. Obeying God's laws and having Jesus' faith is an characteristic of God's remnant people. The remnants of God at the end of time are building a wall of God's rule that has been destroyed. Reciting the three angel messages in Revelation 14, proclaiming that the time of judgment has arrived and declaring the second day of the coming of the Lord. God's people are joined to one body where Jesus is the only Head. Seventh-day Adventist (SDA), is an organization that God forms Chosen to declare His purpose for the world. Show the world that only God is worthy of worship and deserves to be exalted. The SDA Church is the only church organization in the end times that has complete messages and teachings that are in accordance with God's word. Salvation is only through the services of Christ, God's Law becomes a reflection and standard of living, His second coming is a promise of definite hope, only God deserves praise, is worthy of worship and exaltation, and the Bible is the basis of faith, all of these are the principal or the core message of God's church at the end of time. The promise of the coming of the Lord's is certain. The near time of the Lord's day is immediately shown. But there are still many God's people not paying attention and learning the signs of the times. Welcoming the birth of the Messiah in Bethlehem by the Magi, is proof of the readiness of those who continue to study and pay attention to the signs of the times. The Jews who were entrusted by God to bring the message of salvation to the whole world, actually rejected the Savior. This is a warning to God's people who live in the next age. Another important matter as a lesson and warning for the life of God's people who look forward to the Lord's day at the end of the age is John the Baptist and his simple, faithful and sinful way of life. John was used by God to prepare the first way for His ministry. The end of time again God will use people who live as John the Baptist lived, to prepare the way for His second coming. Rejection takes place in the early days of His people on the promise of His first coming, and even then, it will even happen to God's people at the end of time. The researcher's assumption about this matter is based on the statement of some God's people who say that is proof of the message of promise that Jesus will come. From the beginning until now it remains the same, Jesus has not yet arrived. God is merciful. He never forgets His promise. There was a delay on the part of God, because of mercy that gave His people the opportunity to obtain salvation. Message and sharp knife God has separated the large group into two parts. First, those who left the path that God had made, separated themselves from the body of Christ because of disappointment. Apostasy and shock occur in the midst of God's people. Second, are those who remain loyal, continue to gather and review the truth of the message they have received. So that comes a conclusion from the results of the investigation shown by God, the message must continue and God adds every day people who are converted into the number of God's people, now God's people have numbered millions. The age crisis recurs in the midst of God's people. The service, suffering and shock of the Lord are used as a means to cleanse the congregation of people who are just names and do not have repentance. Appearance to those who are waiting for the Lord's day. By the length of time waiting and nothing is done, it leads to disappointment and apostasy. Began to mock the truth and finally reject the message delivered by the servants of God. The purpose of this study is first, to comprehend and understand for sure the purpose of God to choose one people for Him in every age. Second, to emphasize how the life of God's people should be while waiting for the promise of the second coming of the Lord. Third, to emphasize the need for God's people who live at the end of time, not wait passively, but instead actively and aggressively convey the Eternal Gospel to all corners of the world, so that the Lord's day will soon arrive. Fourth, so that God's people really have a sure hope of the promise of His coming and live a life that is in accordance with the truth of His word. Fifth, so that the remnant of God's people can understand the position where they are and what must be done in the history of the closing of the world, so that they are willing to welcome His coming. The writing of this thesis discusses theoretical thinking with the title; Philosophical Analysis of the Remnants Life in the Context Waiting and Accelerates the Day of the Lord Based on 2 Peter 3: 11-12, which states: "So, if all these things will be destroyed in this way, how holy and righteous are you who awaits and hastens the coming of the day of God. On that day the sky will perish in fire and the elements of the world will be destroyed by its flame. "For this reason, the writer will explain: Background of Writing 2 Peter, Exegesis 2 Peter 3, People Who Remain and God's Day in 2 Peter 3 , Definition of the Remnants, Background of the remnants, People Who Remain Waiting and Accelerating the Lord's Day, Victory and Promise of God's Inclusion, Only Divided into Two Groups, Examination of the Tribulation and Time of Shaking, and the Hope of the Coming of Christ. In the decomposition of the framework of the author do as follows: First, it is identified that even though you have heard the message and seen the real signs, there are still those who doubt the truth of His word especially concerning the coming of the Lord's day. Second, it was identified that when the day of the Lord arrived mankind was found only to be divided into two groups. Third, it is identified that a collection has been purified, which is ready for the death of the Lord's day; living holy and godly, blameless and immaculate, they are the ones who wait and accelerate the coming of the Lord's day. Therefore, based on the description above, the framework of thinking is arranged as follows: First, the message about the coming of the Lord's day is a definite promise that must be understood and believed. Secondly, at the time of the coming of the Lord's day, humanity will only be divided into two major groups. Third, godly and holy life signifies the life of God's living people at the end of the age who will be ready to look forward to the Lord's day and meet God in the clouds when He comes. This research was conducted at Ciracas and Branch SS of Cipayung, Region VI, East Jakarta, Jakarta Conference. Pattern of developing relationships between Exogenous Variables and Endogenous Variables based on Construct development, as well as with Variable Moderators. Exogenous Variables with indicators as follows: X1 is how much the understanding people of God, especially the Ciracas church and Branch SS of Cipayung, on the message about the coming of the Lord's day and in seeing the signs of the times. X2 is how much understanding the God’s people in this case is the Ciracas and Branch SS of Cipayung, about the coming of the Lord's day which will separate humanity only into two groups. And Y is how much comprehension and understanding people of God’s; Ciracas congregation and Branch SS Cipayung, about the concept of godly and holy life signifying God's people at the end the times and principles await and accelerate the coming of the Lord's day. The research instrument is a data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire that will be tested for validation and reliability. Data analysis in the study was calculated using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program version 21.00 for Windows. The number of respondents who have filled out the questionnaire from number 1-21 item questions as many as 82 people. Respondents have five categories, namely gender, age, recent education, membership status and length of time being members of the SDA through baptism. Analysis is needed to find out whether the data analysis for testing can be continued or not. Some data analysis techniques require test analysis requirements. Variant analysis requires that data come from populations that are normally distributed and homogeneous compared groups. Therefore, variance analysis requires validation, reliability, normality, linearity, hypothesis and descriptive statistics. Based on the research that has been done, the authors conclude that: First, understanding the people of God; the Ciracas congregation and Branch SS Cipayung, regarding the message about the Lord's day is a promise that surely gets a score of 3.59. This shows that God's people, especially the Ciracas congregations and Branch SS Cipayung, have a good understanding and agree that the message about the coming of the Lord's day is a definite and future promise. Second, the truth about mankind will only be divided into two groups at the time of the coming of the Lord's day having a score of 4.35. This shows that the comprehension and understanding of God's people; the Ciaracas congregation and the Branch SS Cipayung, about the analogies and parables that Jesus used as an illustration of the truth about the coming of the Lord's day that would separate mankind into two groups, both giving statements of agreement. Third, pious behavior and holy life marks God's people who live at the end of time and are ready at the time of the coming of the Lord's day having a score of 4.60. This marked the level of understanding of the Ciracas congregations and Branch SS Cipayung about the principles and concepts of holy and godly life that signified the life of God's people who were waiting and accelerating the day of the Lord, who were living at the end and who were prepared for his goodness and strongly agreed. Thus, pious behavior, sanctity of life and forming a character like Christ, is no longer an option, but must be a very important priority to be owned and applied. The implication of this research is that the message about the coming of the Lord's day is a promise that will surely occur. At the end of the time God has one people who have been prepared for His coming, that is, one people who will be taken to His place in heaven as His own. The remnant people of God behave virtuous and holy. Respect God and raise the standard of the word, Loving Creators and fellow humans. One people to prepare the way for the Savior's arrival to pick up His people and bring him home to heaven where God is. The advice that can be given is first, the message about the coming of the Lord's day and the lesson on the signs of the times in relation to his second divinity, is necessary and must be echoed in the midst of God's people to give confidence in the hope that God promised, creating a revival of faith and refreshing spirituality, for the sake of God's people, especially the Ciracas congregations and Branch SS Cipayung on guard and willing to meet God at the time of His second coming. Second, calling on God's people, especially the Ciracas and Branch SS Cipayung members, to remain in the truth and continue to be connected with the body of Christ, namely His church. The SDA Church, the church that was prophesied was at the center of the attention of God's view in the last days, as a torch bearer salvation throughout the world becomes the light that removes the darkness of sin while covering humans who are almost perished. Third, inviting all God's people; Ciracas congregation and Branch SS Cipayung branch, so that in waiting and serving to accelerate the coming of the Lord's day, still directing the view of faith and spiritual eyes only directed at Christ who was born carrying His peace, life giving His example, dying as a guarantee of salvation, and the has risen and is currently in the heavenly Holy Chamber as an intermediary giving hope.
