THE UNDERSTANDING AND ANALYSIS THE WORD “god” IN PSALM 82:6 BASED ON THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH’S CONGREGATION IN TAIWAN DISTRICT, KOTA MARUDU, SABAH, MALAYSIA. Raypalmer Suning NIM: 1511033 This research aims is to find out the understanding and analysis the word “god” in Psalm 82:6 based on the understanging of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s congregation in Taiwan District, Kota Marudu, Sabah, Malaysia. Simply, this research consisted of five indicators: definition of word “god” (Psalm 82:6); understanding of the word “ ye are god and son of The Most High all of ye”, understanding of the church member s about the context of the Passage (Psalm 82), the understanding of church member about judging, and the understanding of church members about Psalm 82:6. This research divided into two main parts such as theoretically and practically. The theory result is the definition of word “god” has the meaning of god and can be translated into several other translation too; the understanding of the word "you are god and the children of the Most High all of you" can be understood that humans become God's representatives in the world and also refer to the judges; Psalm 82: 6 is also very related to humans because humans often become representatives of God and the context is related in terms of judgment or in simple language is to judge or judge. Regarding judgment, humans may judge but not something regardless of motives, which means judging based on motives and not based on their actions. Pratically, the results of the active respondents gave the impression that all the statements contained in the questionnaire (P1- P22) were well understood and all the average understanding was agreed. However, the author will continue to provide seminars so that not only among members of the congregation in the Taiwan area understand this understanding but the author's hope is that all will better understand the context of the passage in Psalm 82.
