ABSTRACT HANDLING ARCHIVES ON PT GENERAL SUPPLY & SERVICE INDONESIA (REXEL) Written by: Cherry Sharon Caroline Raranta NIM: 1433005 This written aimed to determine how the process of handling archives in PT General Supply & Service Indonesia in archiving important documents, because filing was one job or skills that must be mastered by a secretary within an organization. With the arranged neatly archived documents would brought a good impact for the company itself. This written uses the method of Field Work Practice for three hundred and seventy hours. The types of documents that are archived are sales invoices, invoices, pick lists, auto allocation, customer questionnaire and letters of payment. As a large corporation, document processing at Rexel was still problematic which results in the difficulty of finding important documents that are needed anytime. One of the problems found was the absence of a secretary or special officer who is skilled in archiving. Documents that are organized neatly would cause problems in the long term. Therefore, the authors take the initiative to fix and fix the archiving process in Rexel by using the numbering system to facilitate the search of important documents, if at any time needed. The way that done by the authors had a positive impact for employees in Rexel, because it had facilitated the search for documents and promote the performance of the company.
