ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF CAPITAL ADEQUACY RATIO (CAR) AND THE NON PERFORMING LOAN (NPL) AGAINTS THE RETURN ON ASSETS (ROA) OF THE BANK LISTED ON THE INFOBANK15 INDEX ON THE INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE Written by: Hendry Oktorijal Saragih NIM: 1432111 This research aims to know the influence of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and the Non Performing Loan (NPL) against the Return on Assets (ROA) of the Bank listed on the INFOBANK15 Index on the Indonesia stock exchange in partial and simultaneous. This research was done using descriptive method which describes and discusses the object examined based on facts so that conclusion. The method of sample selection in this study uses the multi-purpose sampling. In the collection of data is done by using a secondary data that has been published. Secondary data will be processed using SPPS 16.0 For Windows in the analysis of the correlation coefficient, significance tests, the determination of the coefficient of linear regression, simple, classic assumption test and multiple linear regression. From the results of research descriptive statistics of each variable having good results. With the value of the mean (average) of 0.177550 or 17.75% for Capital Adequacy Ratio, the value of the mean(average) of 0.021988 or 2.19% for the Non Performing Loan as well as Return on Assets with the value of the mean (average) of 0.016667 or 1.66%. From hypothesis testing looks Capital Adequacy Ratioeffect significantly to Return on Assets with a value of the t-count t- > 2,164 2,074 table and the value of Sig. of < 0.05 0042. The Non Performing Loan effect significantly to Return on Assets with a value of t-female-2,631 > tvalue Sig and 2,074 table. of 0.015 < 0.05. Based on the f-test or test simultaneously obtained that the Capital Adequacy Ratio and Non Performing Loan effect significantly to Return on Assetswith a value of the f-f-> 6,048 count table 3.47 and the value of Sig. of 0.008 < 0.05.
