ABSTRACT INFLUENCE THE COST OF QUALITY AGAINST PROFITABILITY ON THE LEVEL OF DIVISION WROUGHT AND CAST PT .PINDAD (PERSERO) Written By: Johsua Hutauruk NIM: 1332030 This research aims to determined how the cost of the quality that occured in PT. PINDAD (PERSERO) determined the effect of quality costs on the level of profitability in PT. PINDAD (PERSERO).This research was conducted by using descriptive method, where data collected based on real situation Processed, and analyzed, and then taken the conclusion. Data were processed by using pearson product moment statistics analysis correlation coefficient analysis, hypothesis test, coefficient of determination and linear regression analysis.The cost of the quality under the study, is amount of the prevention costs, the appraisal cost, the cost of internal failure, the cost of external failure that has been in total from 2011-2015. Profitability studied from 2011-2015 using Net Profit Margin (NPM). The results showed that the cost of quality had a strong relationship to the level of profitability seen from R=0.798 and the contribution of quality cost in affecting the level of profitability (NPM) is equal to 63,7%/. Whereas in hypothesis testing known there is no significant relationship between quality ang profitability cost seen from t calculated=2.294 so Ho accepted and Ha rejected.
