ABSTRACT THE IMPACT OF BASIC EARNING POWER AND FINANCIAL LEVERAGE TOWARD THE STOCK RETURN OF PT ULTRAJAYA MILK INDUSTRY AND TRADING COMPANY TBK Written by: Daniel Purba NIM: 1432054 This research aimed to know the influence of the Basic Earning Power and Financial Leverage against the Stock Return of PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry and Trading Company Tbk exchange in partial and simultaneous. This research was done using descriptive method which describes and discusses the objek examined based on facts so that conclusion. The method of sample selection in this study uses the multipurpose sampling. In the collection of data is done by using a secondary data that has been published, secondary data will be processed using SPSS 16.0 for windows in the analysis of the correlation coefficient, significance tests, the determination of the coefficient of lenear regression, simple, classic assumption test and multiple linear regression. From the results of research descriptive statistic of each variable variable having good results. With the value of the mean (average) of 0.154167 or 15.41% for Basic Earning Power, the value of the mean (average) of 0.263500 or 26.35% for the Financial Leverage as well as return on asset with the value of the mean (average) of 0.426500 or 42.65%. From hypothesis testing looks Basic Earning Power not significantly to Stock Return with a value of t-count 0.181 < 2,776 t- table and the value of significant of 0,865 > 0.05. The Financial leverage not significantly to Stock Return with a value of t-count 0.189 < 2.776 ttable and the value significant of 0.860 > 0.05. Based on the f-test or test simultaneously obtained that the Basic Earning Power and Financial Leverage not significantly to Stock Return a value of the f-count 0.093 < f-table 9.28 and the value of significant of 0.914 > 0.05.
