ABSTRACT INVENTORY SYSTEM DESIGN IN PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT AT ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA WEB-BASED DHANNY RAYMOND NIM: 1181007 Procurement is a business process that chose resource ordering item, and the quality of material held in the right time and the right place. Therefore, the purpose of inventory system on the procurement department are to improve efficiency and help solve problems in input, stock, output of items and the report on the procurement department activities. In this thesis, data collection be done by observation and interview to get the problem and solve the problem with inventory systems to be built. This inventory system design utilizing information technology to build a webbased application with PHP programming language and MySQL database. Inventory system design includes the recording of items, processing, storage and reports that allow users to determine the amount of items in the warehouse, and the use of barcode scanners in the activities of in and out items. The conclusions of this inventory system be used are inventory system which designed is operated well, this inventory application can be combined with procedural system, the use of barcode scanner in activities at procurement department ease to use in data items in and out.
