Abstract The philosophical analysis of the word lawsuits in 1 CORINTHIANS 6:7 in the Immanuel Batujajar Church. Parulian Sibarani NIM: 1511032 This research is done by discussing the analysis of the word lawsuits at Immanuel Batujajar SDA Church. The researcher concentrated on studying 21 members of the church with the intention of knowing how far they understood about lawsuits and what to do if lawsuits happened in the church. The reasons behind this research are to analyze the meaning of the word lawsuits in the congregation. Research questions that were discussed are the following (1) what is the meaning of lawsuits; (2) What is the meaning of wrong; (3) what is the meaning of cheated; (4) what is the meaning of injustice. This study aims to discover the understanding of this verse among the laity if lawsuits happened in the church. The methodology used in this study was data collection through questionnaires and the results were described using descriptive statistic. The result of this study concluded that church members in Batujajar SDA church understood the meaning of lawsuits and also church members viewed that if they themselves involved in any kind of lawsuits among themselves they will not bring it to the court but resolve it within the church.
