ABSTRACT ROLE OF INTERNAL CONTROL TO ACCOMPLISHMENT OF GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE IN PT BANK NEGARA INDONESIA (PERSERO) TBK KCU PERGURUAN TINGGI BANDUNG Written by: Iin Sabatin Mangalik NIM: 1332070 One of the causes of the economic crisis in 1997 and 1998 was corporate governance in some of banking sector getting worst. This was not apart from the failure of the implementation of good corporate governance. Good internal control and awareness of the parties of the company, especially the banking sector as the center of the economic was expected to be an example to achieve good corporate governance as an effort to restore the Indonesian economy. The purpose of this research was to know the role of internal control to good corporate governance (GCG) accomplishment at intern auditor. The variable used in this research were controller intern (X) and good corporate governance (Y) accomplishment as a dependent variable. This research used primary data by distributing questionnaires at PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and using descriptive analysis method. The results shown that internal controls had a positive relationship that was not to strong towards the implementation of good corporate governance with r value of 0.509. Based on hypothesis results, significant values were obtained for internal control with 0.002 < 0.05, related significantly to the good corporate governance. The role played by the internal control of the implementation of good corporate governance was at 25.9% the remaining 74.1% influenced by other factors outside the study.
