ABSTRACT THEOLOGICAL-PHYLOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS OF ABIDE IN JESUS, MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, ASK WHAT YOU DESIRE IN JOHN 15:7 AT TAMBANG BESI SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, LAMPUNG. Steven Aurora Situmorang NIM: 1511020 The author conducts a research about theological-phylosophical analysis of abide in Jesus, My words abide in you, ask what you desire in John 15:7 at Tambang Besi Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church, Lampung. The research conducted towards the church members of Tambang Besi SDA Church, Lampung. There are three main indicators on this study, (1) analysis of abide in Jesus, (2) analysis of My words abide in you, (3) analysis of ask what you desire. The research were conducted in theoretical research and field research. The result of theoretical research of the five main indicators are (1) the meaning of the phrase of abide in Jesus is have a relationship with Jesus everyday. The relationship will bear fruit. The relationship is a day by day relation, and this relationship requires an obedience. (2) the meaning of the phrase of My words abide in you is the people accepts Jesus everyday. This acceptance is an obedience to the law and teaching of Jesus. This obedience happens by love of Jesus. (3) the meaning of the phrase ask what you desire is an spiritual supplication, not a physical needs of man. There are three important things regarding the spiritual supplication: communication, obedience, and love. The field research conducted by spreading fifty questionnaires that has twenty-six question to the church members of Tambang Besi SDA Church, Lampung. Based on the filled-questionnaires, the author found that the church members has a good interpretation towards the first and the second indicators, but has a minimum interpretation towards the third indicator. The author suggests to improve it so that the church members will have a better interpretation. Keyword: abide in Jesus, God’s Word, What you desire.
