ABSTRAK Title of Thesis : PHILOSOPHYCAL ANALYSIS OF THE ASSOCIATION INFLUENCE TOWARD YOUTH SPIRITUALITY OF THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH IN CICAHEUM BANDUNG WEST JAVA CONFERENCE BASED ON 1 COTINTHIANS 15:33. Researcher's Name : Henry Sulaiman Name and Title : Master of Philosophy (M.FIL) Supervisor : DR. Rudolf Weindra Sagala, M.PTh Completed date : May 10, 2019 Paul the Apostle wrote, "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners" (1 Corinthians 15:33). The Bible writes about the word "slang" 30 times. This social word is in Greek (ὁμιλία homilia) and translated in the KJV Bible: communications. The word "association" in this verse has a negative meaning because it includes the adverb "bad" to, "bad association" The word "association" from the basis of the word "slang" or "things to get along" or community life. Association can be interpreted by the process of interacting with one another so that the notion of association is a reciprocal process between individuals and other individuals that influence, change, and improve behavior. Furthermore the word "bad" is translated from KJV: corrupt which is in the original Greek φθείρω phtheirō. In the Big Indonesian Dictionary the word "association" from the basis of the word "slang" or "things to get along" or community life. Intercourse can be interpreted by the process of interacting with one another so that the notion of association is a reciprocal process between individuals and other individuals that influence, change, and improve behavior. For this reason, the author specifically followed up on this reality and conducted a preliminary survey of 15 respondents held in September 2018 at the Cicaheum Bandung, Seventh day Adventist church, (SDA) which included 9 research questions. Specifically in the 3rd statement which reads "I understand the way that association is wrong to show herd loyalties so that they tend to do bad things together." And find the data as an initial fact with a percentage of 53% responses while 47% do not realize the bad influence. The results of the questionnaire show that 47% of young people have not yet realized the bad influence of association. Based on the problems background above, the author wishes to conduct research with the title. "Philosophical Analysis of the Influence Toward Youth Spirituality Of The Seventh-Day Adventist Church In Cicaheum Bandung, West Java Converence Based On 1 Corinthians 15:33" (see questionnaire). This section is determined by the author to be the initial hypothesis of this writing problem. The intent and purpose of the author to conduct research in writing this thesis are as follows: First, to contribute to young people so that they understand the consequences of association. Second, giving contributions to young people so they can be know the meaning of the right association. Third, to give contribute for all the young people to understand the impact of association in the spiritual growth of the congregation. The research method used in this thesis research is quantitative research. The approach is explanatory-confirmatory, namely the type of survey. Quantitative research is research carried out through measuring instruments using objective and standard instruments, which meet high standards of validity and reliability and are followed by statistical analysis, so that the results can give meaning. This research was conducted at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cicaheum Bandung. The conclusions in this study are First, the results of the test description of variable X1 Quality of Understanding of Young People Against Youth Spirituality Seventhday Adventist Church of Cicaheum Based on 1 Corinthians 15:33. found the answers to the respondents with a mean score of 3.89 or 77.8%, meaning agree. then the remaining 22.2% is the potential for decreasing the quality of understanding the influence of young people's association. Second, the results of the variable description X2 The Quality of Application of Youth Associations Against Youth Youth of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Cicaheum Based on 1 Corinthians 15:33. found the answer of the respondent with a mean score of 3.39 or 67.8%, meaning hesitation. then the remaining 32.2% is the potential for decreasing the quality of the application of the association of young people. Suggestions from this study are, First, the potential strength of respondents as the quality of understanding of young people identified as the highest answer in statement number 3, namely: "I understand that interaction with peers is very important in the process of development and self-maturity" with score 4, 29 or 85.8%. This means that in this statement the respondent answered in agreement. Hopefully this understanding as a potential respondent can be improved and implemented in the quality of the application of youth associations in the framework of the process of development and self-maturity. Second, the weaknesses identified in the respondent's lowest answer are in statement number 11, namely: "I did not experience family disharmony towards both parents at home, so I as a child were reluctant to leave home". with an answer score of 1.06 or an average of 21.2%. This means that in this statement the respondent answered strongly disagree. The data has provided an understanding of the conclusions of the answers in this study as a whole, namely the respondents answered strongly disagree and were more willing to get out of the house as a minimum potential factor for the quality of the application of the association of young people. Third, the respondents who were young as active members of the Cicaheum Bandung, West Java Conference Of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. May experience the quality of understanding the influence of young people's potential for revival and renewal in a passionate awareness to maintain the integrity of loyal and influential young people good for others especially for fellow church members. Fourth, the results of this study hopefully will be followed up by observers who want to examine more deeply to find indications, potentials and problems as an evaluation for improving the quality of relationships among young people on the church in the future.
