ABSTRACT AUDIT ROLE IN IMPROVING OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS IN LENDING BANK NEGARA INDONESIA (Persero).Tbk BANDUNG By: Nancy Deborah Emmy Tampubolon The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the implementation of the operational audit, effectiveness of credit lending at PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Bandung (Persero) Tbk. The method used was descriptive method, the data collected by the real situation, processed, analyzed, and conclusions drawn. The data obtained through interviews, and questionaires. Data were analyzed using Spearman rank correlation coefficients and tests of significance. From the results of research conducted by the authors, the role of the operational audit on the Bank Negara Indoneisa Bandung has adequate. It can be seen from the organizational structure that separates the responsibility, authority systems and recording procedures, practices a healthy and quality employees. Statistical analysis used Spearman rank correlation showed that rs = 0.23, which means giving an indication that the role of audit in improving the operational effectiveness of the provision of credit was low. Based on the hypothesis test showed that t-count < t-table ( 0.8755 < 1.771 ).
