ABSTRACT NURSING CARE FOR TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS PROBLEMS WITH THE APPLICATION OF LOW GLUCOSE DIET AGAINST TN. I IN CIHIDEUNG VILLAGE RT. 01 / RW. 10 Anisa Sri Rahayu, S.kep NIM : 2053016 Diabetes mellitus or what is often called diabetes is a disease that can occur when the body is unable to produce enough insulin or is unable to use insulin. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by an increase in high blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). Apart from genetic factors, a lifestyle with a high calorie, unhealthy and irregular consumption of food is a cause of diabetes mellitus. The application of a low glucose diet is very important. Diabetes mellitus diet is a diet given to people with diabetes mellitus, with the aim of helping improve eating habits to gain better metabolic control by balancing food intake with oral glucose-lowering drugs and insulin and physical activity to achieve normal blood sugar levels. The general purpose of this nursing care is to find out more and get real experience regarding the application of a low glucose diet, as well as to improve the quality of nursing care services to Mr. I with type 2 DM based on the priorities made in the nursing plan. The method used in this paper is descriptive method. The most priority diagnosis in this final scientific work is instability of blood glucose levels due to pancreatic dysfunction. The intervention carried out in accordance with the journal was the application of a low sugar dier to patients during 14 days of treatment at Mr. I. After nursing action, the results of the evaluation show that some of the three nursing diagnoses are not resolved because the outcome criteria have not been achieved in accordance with the patient's condition during the evaluation and need to increase the intervention again with a longer treatment period.
