ABSTRACT NURSING CARE IN Mr. A WITH EFFECTIVE COUGH EXERCISES CASE OF ACUTE ASTHMA EXACERBATION IN UNAI BANDUNG CLINIC Arranged by : Fanny Damayanti Situmorang, S.Kep 2053011 Asthma is an inflammatory airway disease that is a health problem tat occurs in developed and developing coutries. The mortality rate is more than 80% is developing countries. Asthma usually occurs as a result of reaction to exposure to external agents and non adherence to medication. The purpose of writing this final scientific paper is to gain experience in providing comprehensive nursing care to patient with respiratory system disorders through the implementation of fact-based intervensions. The writing of this final scientific paper was conducted to report on the implementation of nursing care to Mr. A cough therapy is effective in cases of acute exacerbation of asthma. The writing was done using descriptive method, namely by cunducting direct interviews with patients and families, observation, documentation and literature. The results of the study found that patients complained of tightness, cough with phlegm, fever and no appetite. The patient has a history of allergy to dust and a history of asthma. The patient does not use asthma medication. The nursing diagnoses taken were as follows : ineffective airway clearance, ineffective breathing patterns, hyperthermia and nutritional imbalances. Interventions are structured and provided through nursing implementation. The evaluation results after giving effective cough therapy exercises, namely : 2 times a day for three consecutive days, it was found that the oxygen saturation results from 91% to 97% and was stable and the respiration rate from 24x/m to 20x/m so that the patient looked calm and comfortable. The advice given to patients and families is that patients or families can do cough exercises efectively in case of asthma.
