ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN TERHADAP TN. E HEPATOMA: DENGAN INTERVENSI TEKNIK RELAKSASI DBE DI RUANG EMERGENSI KLINIK UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA
XMLABSTRACT NURSING CARE TO TN. E HEPATOMA: WITH DBE RELAXATION TECHNIQUE INTERVENTION IN EMERGENCY ROOM OF CLINIC ADVENT UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA Mario Bonniels Desirereal, S.kep NIM : 2053041 Hepatoma (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) is the most one causes of death due to cancer. This disease is also known as liver cancer. This disease is a malignant tumor originating from hepatocytes. Abnormal cell growth and development in the hepatic organs, which then interferes with liver function, causing liver damage. One of the symptoms that occurs in patients with hepatoma is acute pain. Acute pain can be caused by hepatitis, viral invasion, endoplasmic reticulum parenchymal cell damage, stimulating mast cells to secrete chemical mediators, stimulated nociceptors, transduction processes, transmission, modulation, pain perception, and acute pain. There is a process of transduction and transmission that causes pain in the stomach, especially in the upper right abdomen. DBE relaxation technique (Deep Breathing Exercise) is a non-pharmacological management which is an effective method in reducing patient pain, namely by doing deep breathing exercises, especially in patients with acute and chronic pain. The main purpose of this nursing intervention is to gain real experience giving DBE relaxation techniques in reducing pain and to improve the quality of nursing care services to Mr. E with Hepatoma based on the priorities made in the nursing plan. The method used in this paper is descriptive method. The most priority diagnosis in recent scientific work is acute pain associated with tension in the abdominal wall due to ascites. The intervention carried out was teaching DBE relaxation techniques in approximately one hour of treatment in the emergency room of UNAI Adventist Clinic. After nursing actions were carried out, the evaluation results found that the patient's pain was reduced from a scale of 8 to a scale of 5 from the three nursing diagnoses partly not resolved because the outcome criteria had not been achieved in accordance with the patient's condition during the evaluation and the intervention needed to be increased with a longer treatment period.
