ABSTRACT NURSING CARE OF CHILDREN. C WITH SLOW RESPIRATORY THERAPY TO IMPROVE OXYGEN SATURATION IN BRONCHOPNEUMONIA CASE IN UNAI CLINIC Jane Mona Lisa Simanjuntak NIM : 2053010 Bronchopneumonia is a major cause of morbidity and mortality of children under 5 years of age. Problems that occur in bronchopneumonia, tightness and oxygen saturation that is lower than normal. The goal of nursing care in children with bronchopneumonia is by providing slow deep breathing therapy to help improve lung ventilation and blood oxygenation so that the child can maintain patency of the airway. The method used is descriptive in the form of case reports by collecting data through observations, interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. The results of the study that the authors found were children experiencing shortness of breath, runny nose, nasal congestion, respiratory rate: 36x / minute; SpO2: 88%, there is light retraction and crackles in the lungs. Nursing diagnoses were taken, namely: ineffective airway cleaning b.d increased sputum production; ineffective breathing pattern b.d inflammatory process; anxiety in children and parents b.d unknown environment and lack of knowledge; risk of nutritional deficits b.d difficulty eating. Interventions are structured and provided through nursing implementation. The results of the evaluation of SDB therapy showed that the child's condition began to stabilize and there was an increase in oxygen saturation. After 3 days of treatment, the oxygen saturation increased to 98%, the respiratory rate decreased to 29x / minute, no crackling sound and no chest retraction. Suggestions are given to parents, namely that they can practice SDB therapy techniques when the child is congested to help get enough oxygen.
