ABSTRACT THE ROLE OF PROFESSIONAL ETHICS IN SECRETARY IN THE DEAN OFFICE FACULTY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA Written by: Ester Yuvella Simbolon NIM: 1833007 The role of a secretary is needed to assist leaders in completing tasks and jobs in the office of the Dean of the Information Technology Faculty. Every activity carried out by the secretary is of course related to ethics in doing his job. The role of the secretary in the office of the Dean of the Information Technology Faculty is handling letters, filing, preparing for meetings, writing office equipment that definitely requires work ethics such as dress ethics, speaking, sitting, receiving guests. The method used is an internal internship field work practice for 100 hours according to the standards of the Adventist University of Indonesia, so that it can only complete up to 66 hours in approximately (1.5) months. From the research results, the authors conclude that ethics and the role of the secretary are always related to doing a job in the office. From this conclusion, the authors suggest that not only ethics but it must be implemented, including in receiving guests, do not let guests wait long and must be more friendly to be better in the future.
