ABSTRACT EVALUATION OF HANDOVER IMPLEMENTATION USING SBAR COMMUNICATION IN THE CEMPAKA ISOLATION UNIT CARE OF BANDUNG ADVENTIST HOSPITAL Ramay Ginting, S. Kep ID: 1953053 Background: SBAR communication is an effective form of communication that nurses can use in the process of handover about patient’s condition. This scientific work was motivated by the results of interviews that the implementation of handover using SBAR communication was still not carried out effectively. Purpose: This scientific work was prepared to evaluate the implementation nusrsing handover using SBAR communication in the Cempaka Isolation Unit Care of Bandung Adventist Hospital. Methods: The method used is descriptive quantitative and the data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentation studies. Results: There are differences in the implementation of the nursing handover using SBAR communication before and after implementation. Suggestion: Suggestions for the Bandung Adventist Hospital to continue to provide education about SBAR communication so as to encourage the effectiveness of communication between nurses during the handover process. Suggestions for nurses that these findings can be used as basic data related to the use of SBAR communication in handover so that nurses can correct mistakes and see which aspects are still not maximally implemented.
