ABSTRACT THE ROLE OF THE SECRETARY IN THE MANAGING ARCHIVES OF ACCEPTANCE TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN THE EDUCATION DEPARMENT UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA Written by: Erna Adelia May Simbolon 1833010 The purpose of this paper is to describe the role of the secretary in managing records in the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Universitas Advent Indonesia in improving work efficiency and effectiveness. The filing process carried out by the author during the work practice, namely, collecting all the documents needed to be archived and arranging them alphabetically, the date they were created and the archive code is then stored properly and regularly in the space provided, so that if needed, they can be easily found quickly. Another thing that is done is sorting all the documents that enter the office after being checked by the dean, so the author creates an archive code and stores it in the place that has been prepared. The existence of fieldwork practice writers contributes in organizing and managing documents into archives that can be used by the leadership to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Dean's work.
