ABSTRACK THE INFLUENCE OF PORNOGRAPHY ON THE MORALS AND SPIRITUALITY OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH OF THE PALEM SEMI TANGERANG CONGREGATION OF THE JAKARTA LOCAL CONFERENCE BASED ON COLOSSIANS 3:5 Dorma Sappetua Sitanggang NIM: 1511034 In this study, the author tried to examine the understanding of pornography among young people, in particular, its influence on morals and spirituality based on Colossians 3:5. This research was conducted at Seventh Day Adventist Church of Palem Semi Tangerang. Simply, this study has three main indicators, namely: The definition of pornography, the influence of pornography on morals and spirituality, and the last is God's will to stop watching pornography. This research is divided into two parts, namely research in theory and research in the field. The results of theoretical research are the understanding of pornography, the influence of pornography on morals and spirituality, and God's will to stop watching ponography. This study covers 3 parts, namely: (1) Understanding pornography. In the Bible, it turns out that there is a ban on pornography even though there is no written word. Pornography is a medium that displays nudity to arouse the lusts of its audience. There are pornographic elements in photos, videos, music, animations, games, and even on social media; (2) The influence of pornography on morals and spirituality. The effect is to ruin work, family responsibilities, social life, and spiritual life. Another influence is viewing others as sexual objects, blurring views about lust and love, and can lead to addiction. (3) God's will to stop watching pornography. God intends to crucify the lusts of the flesh, one of which is pornography, controlling the mind and lust because every dirty and perverted mind is the sin of indirect adultery. God also intends to give up all bodies and minds to be instruments of truth in God's work. The human body is not his own but God's because it has been purchased with the blood of Christ. The results of field research conducted through questionnaires distributed to 40 young people of Palem Semi Tangerang SDA Church that produced data that can be concluded that the respondents have a good understanding. Let the help of the Holy Spirit, good understanding can be practiced in daily life. Keywords: Pornography, Young People, Moral, Sprituality.
