ABSTRACT Thesis Title : PERSEPSI CHURCH MASEHI ADVENT DAY SEVEN DISTRICT TARAKAN PROVINCE NORTH KALIMANTAN ON THE EFFECT OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE TO THE GEOGRAPHY CONVERSATION BASED ON THE FALSAFAH LUKAS 8: 20-21 Name : Walbiner Sagala Advisor : DR. Bartolomeus Diaz N. MPS Completed Date : May, 2018 This thesis begins with a background explanation of the problem concerning the Seventh-day Adventist Church Perception of Tarakan District of North Kalimantan Province on the Influence of Family Relationship on Spiritual Growth of the Church based on Luke's Philosophy 8: 20-21. In this research three issues are raised: Firstly, does the influence of bad family relationships and the lack of good governance affect the spiritual growth of the congregation? Secondly, does a poor family relationship result in a lack of family worship, which will weaken the spirit to attend church services and other places of worship, which eventually weaken the Spirit of Evangelism, stewardship and spirituality that can affect the spiritual growth of the congregation? Third, Is the lack of respect for children against the parents in the household, after they are matured will be affected by the lack of respect for the elders of the congregation, the pastor will also occur among the congregation itself, which ultimately affects the spiritual growth of the congregation? The research was conducted in Tarakan District of North Borneo, consisting of: the Church, the Tanjung Selor Church, the Berau Church, the Malinau Church, the Nunukan Church, Tarakan Congregation. These five congregations are in the area of East Kalimantan Regional Service, consisting of 45 congregations, 2,800 more members of the congregation. The method used in the research is a quantitative survey so that the test conducted using quantitative statistical test methods, among others, validity test, reliability test, normality test, linearity test, hypothesis test. The data collection tool is a questionnaire to measure the variables about "Seventh-day Adventist Church Advent of Tarakan District of North Kalimantan Province on the Influence of Family Relations on Spiritual Growth of the Church based on Luke 8: 20-21" With the scale of the answer 1 - 5. There are so many congregations that do not experience harmony in the family, there are families who have open problems (in the know others) and there are also family problems that are not visible on the surface but visible from his actions to fellow church and even relating to people outside the church. Problems of family relationships in the household and family issues and other problems that haunt each family. Based on the observations and experiences of the author and also the information conducted by many agencies dealing with family issues, it is found that the main issues that cause family and family relationships are not harmonious and eventually brought into the church is the lack of communication and respect / respect for each other, then another problem arises, which does not solve the problem that one finishes, adds to the problem and keeps on walking, so bring it into the church. The objectives of this study are as follows: To obtain the biblical concept of the influence of family and inter-family relationships on the spiritual growth of the church based on Luke 8: 20-21 and verse verse that corresponds to it. To provide an appropriate analysis of relationships and familial influences in spiritual growth especially in the Seventh-day Adventist Church (GMAHK) in Tarakan District of North Borneo and beyond. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The approach is explanatory-confirmatory, ie the type of survey and data collection tool used in the form of a questionnaire to measure variables on the influence of familial relationships on the spiritual growth of the church based on Luke 8: 20-21 with the chosen answer of 1-5. The results of the research through the tests that have been done show that the perception of members of the congregation that the relationship in the family (between parents and children, husband and wife as well as vice versa) and even family relationships with one another in the flesh and spiritual, in terms of maintaining relationships, worship, stewardship, evangelism and mutual respect for each other with a score of 4.31, meaning that the average respondent agrees to maintain good relationships among family members as it will affect the spiritual growth of the person and the congregation. Based on the results of this study is expected every family member (members of the congregation) in the congregation is expected to establish good relationships in the family just happened sinergy that brings unity and spirit in everything in the congregation itself.
