ABSTRACT Thesis Title : ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE PHILOSOPHY OF LIVING WITH GOD TOWARD SPIRITUAL GROWTH TROUGHT SPIRIT OF EVANGELISATION IN THE SDA CHURH OF AREA II MAKASSAR BASED ON GENESIS 5:25A Name of researcher : SAMUEL HARISON TODA Name of Title : Magister Filsafat (M. Fil) Supervisior : Dr. Alvyn Hendriks, M.Min Date of completion : Febuary, 13th 2018. Many members of the congregation who love lifestyles get along with the world, in the era of globalization and modernization, the increasing technological sophistication so that the philosophy of living with God is very low in understanding and application. The book of James chapter 4 describes the passions and friendships of the world. The association with the world is enmity with God, "So whoever wants to be a friend of the world, he makes himself an enemy of God" James 4: 4. Many members of the congregation are busy looking for worldly treasures so that to attend the worship service to be absent even not present. Many members of the congregation are less seriously involved in following the spiritual activities of the congregation. Many church members do not hold morning and evening services and this is seen in the early morning and evening care by the author as a pastor. The author makes the congregations in Makasar area as research material based on the number of members large enough, also because the author now serves as a pastor in the area of Makassar and live in the city of Makassar. Based on the authors' attention during the ministry, the authors found that members of the congregation in the region experienced a spiritual decline in which members of the congregation were less faithful in attending evening prayer service meetings, Vesper worship, Sabbath service, and the evening Sabbath PA program. The author also sees the decline in the number of members of the congregation that makes the number of members getting smaller and less and the lack of involvement of members of the congregation in evangelism. It can also be said that members of the congregation do not understand and apply the philosophy of life to associate with God. The purpose of this study is first, to understand the true concept of living with God based on Genesis 5: 24a, which can promote spiritual growth and the spirit to evangelize. Secondly, to apply the life of associating with God as demonstrated by Enoch in order to promote spiritual growth and evangelism. Third, to provide input and motivation to pastors, church elders, all members of the congregation to have a life of association with God because it is very influential and has a positive impact on spiritual growth and the spirit of evangelism. Fourth, for each member of the congregation to better understand the concept of life associate with God and can apply it as a pattern of life that can affect the spirituality and evangelism in the churches of the area II Makassar Makassar-South Sulawesi. Fifth, to complete the demands of the Post-Graduate Philosophy program at UNAI for a master's degree. As a theoretical basis in writing this Thesis, the author will discuss things that need to be understood based on what is known related to the identification of problems in Chapter I. In this section the author will discuss about: (1) About the Book of Genesis: Author of Genesis ; Problems in the Book of Genesis; Background of Genesis; Genesis Theory of Genesis 5: 24a, (3) The Definition of Life Associating With God, (4) The Philosophy of Enoch Life Associates With God: (a) Living Faithfully to God: Faithfully Committing God, Faithful Prayer, True Worship to God (b) Delightful Life to God: Healthy Life, Holy Life (c) Live the Gospel: The Importance of Evangelism, Jesus 'Great Commandment (5) Jesus' Counsel to Live With God, (6) God in Ellen G. White. The variables in this study entitled Analysis of Philosophy of Life Associating With God for Spiritual Growth and Evangelism The members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Makassar II region based on Genesis 5: 24a are as follows: X1 is an understanding of life associating with God enhancing spiritual growth. X2 is the understanding of living with God that enhances evangelism. X3 is the application of living with God that enhances spiritual growth. X4 is the application of living with God that enhances evangelism. Sampling technique by random cluster sampling, ie sampling by selecting members of the congregation proportionately in the region of Makassar, among others Sunu Church, Sunguminasa Church, Tanjung Bunga Church, Balabodong Church, Sadang River Congregation. The list of statements used for this study concerns the understanding and application of life to associate with God based on the understanding and application of life with God that influences the spiritual growth and spirit of evangelism, in this study divided by researchers into four indicator variables. Twenty-eight statements represent the four indicator variables that are shared by the researcher of each indicator variable. The twenty-eight statements are an indicator to be examined. The number of respondents who have filled out questionnaires from 1-28 items about 124 people. The validity test is used by using the critical R / factor test according to the theory. Conditions used are person correlation greater than r critical 0.15, if less than 0.15 then the point instrument r correlation less than 0.15 then assume autumn / not used. It is concluded that all questions (1-28) are valid items. The first conclusion can be given firstly: First, the level of understanding of the paper Makasar area II of Makasar towards living with God based on Genesis 5: 24a, which can increase spiritual growth, has a score of 4.71, that means it is very good. Secondly, the level of understanding of Makassar II Area's GMAHK members toward living with God based on Genesis 5: 24a can increase evangelism of 4.33 that is good. Thirdly, the application level of Makassar II area's GMAHK members to life associate with God as demonstrated by Enoch based on Genesis 5: 24a which can increase spiritual growth by 4.35, meaning good. Fourthly, the application level of Makassar II Area's GMAHK members about living with God based on Genesis 5: 24a which can increase evangelization of 4.35, which means it, is good. Suggestions can be given firstly, in understanding the true concept of living with God based on Genesis 5: 24a, which can promote spiritual growth and the spirit to evangelize it, is necessary that life to be with God is by living faithfully to God. Secondly, in applying the life of associating with God as demonstrated by Enoch in order to promote spiritual growth and evangelism it is necessary to associate with God like Enoch because it can unite the congregation in evangelism. Third, in giving input and motivation to pastors, church elders, all members of the congregation to have a life of association with God because it is very influential and have a positive impact on spiritual growth and evangelism then all members of the congregation must be diligent to go to church every Sabbath every day. Fourth, for every member of the congregation to better understand the concept of life associate with God and can apply it as a pattern of life that can affect spirituality and evangelism in the churches of the area II Makassar Makassar-South Sulawesi then every member of the congregation must be diligent to pray to always succeed in evangelism. The implications of this research are the life of church members experiencing challenges in spiritual growth and the spirit of evangelism. Supposedly, with spiritual growth seminars, daily Bible reading and the presence of small group programs, caring groups, programs department in the congregation are already affecting the spirituality of the growing congregation and the spirit of evangelism is on the rise.
