ABSTRACT CRITICAL NURSING CARE IN Mr. I.S: APNEA WITH CPR ACTION ON ACUTE ASMA ATTACKS AT IGD ROOM IN CLINIC OF ADVENT UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA Arranged by: Jeanette Imanuela Diva Sulistiono Nim: 1953060 Asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway disease characterized by wheezing and shortness of breath. Asthma that occurs suddenly and in a severe category can cause stopping breathing or death. Cardiac pulmonary resuscitation is a procedure given when a patient with an asthma attack has entered a life-threatening stage. The purpose of writing this final scientific paper is to report critical nursing care to Mr. I.S: apnea with CPR action in an acute asthma attack in the Clinical Emergency Room at the Adventist University of Indonesia. The method used is descriptive in the form of case reports by collecting data through observations, interviews, documentation studies and literature studies. The results of the evaluation on Mr. I.S after 13 minutes of giving CPR, that is, the patient can wake up from a coma, respiration 32x / minute, SpO2 88%, pulse 131x / minute, blood pressure 150 / 90mmHg, temperature 36ÂșC, cold akral, patient sweating, pale face. After that the patient was given a nebulizer for 5 minutes and experienced an increase in oxygen saturation to 90%. From the results of the application of nursing care interventions, namely, decreased oxygen supply to the brain was resolved with the results of GCS 5, the ineffectiveness of airway clearing was partially resolved with the results that the patient could expel sputum but still had difficulty breathing, wheezing still sounded, the patient was still using breathing muscles, the patient was not experiencing cyanosis, the patient still feels tight. This scientific work is expected to be a learning material in providing nursing care management in dealing with apneic patients with CPR action in acute asthma attacks.
