ABSTRACT Research Title : ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF PHILOSOPHY OF HEALTH REFORM AND HEALTH MINISTRY TOWARD THE SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF MEMBERS OF THE JAKARTA CONFERENCE OF SEVENTH- DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH OF REGION XV BASED ON 3 JOHN 1: 2. Researcher’s Name : Bangun Pasaribu Title : Master of Philsophy ( M. Phil ) Advisors : Dr. Rudolf W. Sagala, M. PTh Dr. Stimson Hutagalung, M. Fil End Date : 18 April 2018 One of the messages that the Seventh-day Adventist Church (GMAHK) has and has delivered to the world is the message about health. The overall human degeneration, physical, mental and social conditions are accelerated with an unhealthy lifestyle and coupled with increasing environmental pollution, all of which make the human body more vulnerable to disease and accelerate the decline of human life itself. The message of health reform is the added value of the Seventh Day Adventist Church , however, according to the author's observation that not all church members have understood the message of health reform. The message of health reform is often misunderstood with the superficial understanding of church members as "not eating meat or vegetarian.” Health service programs are needed by the community, because people want excellent health. Based on the observation of the author if there are worship and recuperation services that are performed by non- Adventist Church then many people will come even though not from members or unbelievers because they want to be healed. Even unreasonable things will be done just to get health. This is an opportunity for Adventist Church members to do health service work. As Jesus after healing many of them still longed to follow wherever Jesus went. Likewise with the church if it is done then many souls will be won. The aims of this study include the theoretical objectives: To contribute to pastors in the field ministry of the importance of health care to the spiritual growth of church members. Practical Objectives: Provide an understanding to each member of the congregation about the importance of the concept of health care to the spiritual growth of church members. Academic Objectives: to fulfill they academic qualification through scientific work to achieve a Master of Philosophy degree from Adventist University of Indonesia, Bandung. The conclusion of this study is first, the overall meaning of health is closely related to the physical, the soul and the spiritual, the full health of the physical, the soul and the spiritual so that the living offerings that can be given to God are healthy bodies. Secondly, the teaching of health reforms affects members of the congregation in doing health services, therefore teaching health reform is one way of serving the community and the doctrine of health reform speaks of a healthy lifestyle overall acceptable to all religious and community groups. Third, the doctrine of health reform is one of the emphasis of the doctrine of Adventist Church in the complete human life in which health reform is a Biblical teaching to do and to live the doctrine of health reform does not cost a fortune. Fourth, the doctrine of health reform philosophy affects the spiritual growth of church members where by doing health care, we are sharing love with our fellow human beings and by doing health services it will affect ourselves for healthy living. The Increasing of public awareness of the importance of health in recent years should be used by the church as a good opportunity to declare a message of health reform, but it has not been fully seen. Health services can penetrate religious forts in society. Rapid and successful evangelism is evangelism that meets the needs. People who experience disaster will sympathize to help him as well as those who are sick they are ready to do anything to be healed .
