MENINGKATKAN KEPATUHAN MAHASISWA DALAM MELAKUKAN ENAM LANGKAH CUCI TANGAN DI KLINIK UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA
XMLABSTRACT IMPROVING STUDENT COMPLIANCE IN DOING SIX STEPS OF HAND WASHING ON ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA CLINIC Harianto Manalu S. Kep. 1953065 The incidence of nosocomial infections in the world is 9% of the 1.4 million hospitalized patients. One way to prevent nosocomial infections is to wash your hands. Infection control is carried out by all health workers in the hospital. RISKESDAS 2007 data says that there are still 76.8% of health workers who do not wash their hands. The purpose of this study was to see the increase in nurse compliance in carrying out the six steps of washing hands after health promotion. Data collection was carried out by means of observation from January to February 2021 on 21 nursing students who were practicing at the Adventist University of Indonesia Clinic. The results showed that the level of students in carrying out the six steps of washing hands after being given health education was 92%. It can be concluded that there is an increase in student compliance in carrying out the six steps of washing hands at the Adventist University of Indonesia Clinic. The suggestion is that every student can follow the steps to wash their hands properly according to the procedures that have been taught to prevent nosocomial infections.
