ABSTRACT “NURSING CARE FOR Mrs. T WITH ACUTE EXACERBATION USING NEBULIZER THERAPY TO DILUTUATE THE SPUTUM IN ROOM ONE OF UNIVERSITAS ADVENT INDONESIA CLINIKPARONGPONG WEST BANDUNG REGION” Arranged by: AYUNI MEDI S.Kep NIM: 2053008 Background: One of the most common diseases experienced by some people is acute exacerbation of asthma. Clients who experience acute exacerbation of asthma will produce more sputum, therefore nebulizer therapy is required. Purpose: The purpose of this scientific paper was conducted to provide nursing care for acute exacerbation of asthma by giving nebulizer therapy to dilute sputum. Methods: The research was done using descriptive method in the form of case reports in which data is collected through observations, interviews, documentation and review of literature. Results: The results of the study found that the client and the client's husband complained that the client had cough with phlegm, shortness of breath, and fever. The nursing diagnoses taken were: Ineffective breathing pattern, ineffective airway clearance, hyperthermia, and anxiety. Interventions are structured and provided through nursing implementation. The results of the evaluation in administering nebulizer therapy can thin out sputum. Conclusion: After 4 days of treatment, the sputum can be removed easily using nebulizer therapy. Suggestion: For nurses and nursing student, in treating clients with excess sputum should do in accordance with the SOP of using nebulizer therapy for thinning the sputum.
