ABSTRACT COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE RELATIONSHIP TO COVID-19 PREVENTION IN DUSUN TAPIAN NAULI AEKKANOPAN NORTH STONE PORTS Ezrani Siahaan NIM: 1751029 Coronavirus 2019 or COVID-19 is a pandemic that has resulted in high mortality rates in various parts of the world. Good knowledge about the COVID-19 pandemic as well as clean and healthy living habits as an effort to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 are important to apply. The purpose of this study was to find out how the knowledge and attitudes of the people of Tapian Nauli Hamlet regarding the prevention of Covid-19. The research design used in this research is descriptive analysis. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, amounting to 72 people. The criteria for respondents were the people of Tapian Nauli Hamlet who were already adults. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire. The independent variable is the public's knowledge about Covid-19 and the dependent variable is the attitude of the people of the Tapian Nauli hamlet towards the prevention of Covid19. The results showed that people's knowledge was in the good category with an average score of 55.6% and people's attitudes were in the medium category with an average of 66.7%. Based on the results of statistical tests, there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of the people of Tapian Nauli Village with a p value of 0.000 <0.05 with r 0.793 with a high degree of closeness. Suggestions for the people of Tapian Nauli Hamlet so that the community can increase their knowledge of Covid-19 and can apply Covid-19 prevention attitudes and behaviors in their daily life.
