ABSTRACT RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE WITH ANSWER OF PRIVATE VACATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS OF ADVENTS OF PEMATANG SIANTAR TOWARDS COVID-19 PANDEMIC Erda Manurung NIM: 1751050 Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) is a disease that is transmitted from person to person in a very short time with several symptoms, namely high fever, cough, shortness of breath, lack of appetite and weakness. Adolescents are a transitional age at which time of their biological development, which can cause uncontrollable anxiety. One of the factors that influence anxiety is knowledge. Objective: to determine the relationship between knowledge and anxiety in Pemantang Siantar Private High School students against the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: using cross sectional, descriptive analysis research design that is quantitative. The sample collection technique used positive sampling totaling 72 students. The criteria for inclusion were students at the Adventist Private High School Pematang Siantar class X-XII. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire. Analysis of the correlation test using the Spearman Rho. Data analysis using the Likert scale test. Conclusion: The results showed that students 'knowledge of Covid-19 was in the poor category with a percentage value (29.46%), students' anxiety about Covid-19 was anxious category. The correlation test between student knowledge and anxiety has a pvalue of 0.007 <0.05, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so this study shows that there is a significant relationship between student knowledge and anxiety about the Covid-19 pandemic. Suggestion: for students to further increase their knowledge of Covid -19 so that they can reduce anxiety, it is hoped that further researchers will find further factors that affect student anxiety in facing the Covid-19 pandemic.
