ABSTRACT ACUTE GASTROENTERITIS NURSING IN TN. D WITH THE PROVISION OF HEALTH EDUCATION FOR DIARRHEA IN ROOM 3 CLINIC OF ADVENT UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA Gallant Deva Nainggolan, S.kep NIM : 2053033 Acute gastroenteritis is an inflammation that occurs in the gastric mucosa which is acute characterized by bowel movements with an increased frequency and consistency of softer or more fluid stools and is sudden on, and lasts less than 2 weeks. Lifestyle and consuming the wrong food is one of the causes for someone to have acute gastroenteristics. Food contaminated by living microorganisms will enter the intestinal mucosa after successfully passing the stomach acid barrier. Health education on diarrhea prevention is very important to improve the patient's lifestyle so as not to get recurrent diarrheal diseases. In Indonesia, the death rate from diarrhea is quite high compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. The main objective of this nursing care is to carry out health education for acute gastroenteristic patients at the Advent Indonesia University Clinic. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The priority diagnosis in this final scientific work is diarrhea associated with an infectious process characterized by repeated defecations 5-6 times / day. Apart from giving fluids therapy to maintain the patient's dehydrated status, the intervention carried out in nursing care for 3 days of this treatment was the provision of health education to prevent recurrent diarrhea in acute gastroenteristic patients in Mr..D. After nursing action is carried out, the evaluation results find that the problem is resolved from the three priority nursing diagnoses. Keywords: Acute gastroenteristics, health education
