ABSTRACT THEOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH MEMBERS OF TANI MULYA CIMAHI ABOUT “ISRAEL SAVED WITH THEIR SAFETY” IN ISA 45:17 Sangap Simanjuntak 1511003 In this study, examining the understanding of Israel was saved with everlasting salvation based on Isa. 45:17. The author focused this research on the Seventh-day Adventist Church at the Tani Mulya Cimahi congregation. The researcher has a basis with three indicators to be discussed, namely: Overview of theories about the concept of safety. The second indicator of the characteristics of a person who has received salvation. And the third indicator is to whom does salvation apply? This research is divided into two parts, namely theoretical research and field research. The result of theoretical research is what the phrase "God saves with everlasting salvation" means that appears in isa 45:17. What are the characteristics of a person who has received salvation from God. Is salvation still valid today for the physical Israelites? This study includes 4 parts, namely: (1) What does the sentence mean that "God saves with everlasting salvation. Some experts claim that Israel was ordered to maintain eternal salvation so that it would not be humiliated by a nation that did not worship the true God, but that salvation would not apply to those who no longer worshiped God and turned to worshiping idols. (2) What are the characteristics of a person who has received salvation from God. Experts say that a person who is saved is accepting Christ as God and a personal jurist, believing in Christ, living in Christ. (3) Is salvation still valid today for the physical Israelites? According to experts that salvation applies to Gentiles who want to repent and turn to worship the true God and leave their idols, and applies to the Israelites who repented and worshiped the true God. The results of the field research conducted through a questionnaire distributed to 30 members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at Tani Mulya Cimahi, where the questionnaire contained 31 granular statements, resulting in a data which concluded that respondents had a fairly good view on indicators one to two but in the third indicator the respondents had a sense that they did not understand who safety was.
