VPN NETWORK ANALYSIS (VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK) IN PT. JAYA GILANG SENTOSA USING PPTP AND L2TP AS A DATA TRANSFER MEDIA BASED ON MICROTICS ABSTRACT Create By SONNI ARMANDO SAGALA Nim:1582019 Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a computer network technology developed by a company to connect between networks over other networks using the internet that requires a special path in data transfer, as in the case of PT Jaya disappeared. this company has data that must be sent from the branch company to the central company. With this VPN, it is expected to help companies transfer data. The method used in this study is QoS (Quality Of Service), namely by testing delay, throughput, and packet loss on PPTP and L2TP networks. The purpose of this study is (1) Can build a VPN by using proxy (2) Facilitate the delivery of company data from branch to center. After getting the results from this study, that the VPN at PT Jaya Gilang has been used by the user, after it was tested it was found that L2TP was better than PPTP with the result of a 20Mb delay margin at 08:00-10:00 0.54%, 10:00-12:00 0.39%, 13:00-15:00 1.67%. 32MB hours 08:00-10:00 0.34%, 10:00-12:00 1.35%, 13:00-15:00 1.83%. 52MB hours 8:00-10:00 0.19%, 10:00-12:00 0.71%, 13:00-15:00 0.59%. 20Mb throughput at 8:00-10:00 7,48%, 10:00-12:00 3.51%, 13:00-15:00 32%. 32MB hours 08:00-10:00 6.18%, 10:00-12:00 2.35%, 13:00-15:00 18%. 52MB hours 08:00-10:00 3.41%, 10:00-12:00 9.47%, 13:00-15:00 10%. And the 20Mb, 32Mb loss packets, 52Mb 0%. Keywords: virtual private network, PPTP and L2TP
