ABSTRACT RESEARCH DEGREE (S-1) Adventist University of Indonesia Faculty of Philosophy Majoring in Theology Title : ANALYSIS INFLUENCES UNDERSTANDING OF PASTORAL CALLING CONCERNING OBEDENCE OF REGULATIONS AND ATTAINMENT ACHIEVEMENT MINISTERIAL STUDENT IN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF INDONESIA Researcher Name : Desmon Arifyanto Panjaitan Name and Supervisor : Milton T. Completion Date : 9 May 2014 In this study, the author examine the understanding of pastoral calling concerning obedience to regulations on campus UNAI, and also the effect of obedience to rules on student achievement in Adventist University of Indonesia. The author of this study focused to ministerial students who enrolled in Indonesian Adventist University. The research is based on three main indicators, namely: true understanding of pastoral calling, obedience to rules and student achievement. Among the students are currently studying Philosophy Theology, still not all understand the meaning of their calling, still have not had a good attitude and still there are a ministerial stundents who not get a good achievement both in terms of academic achievement and non-academic achievements. This study is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical research and field research. The results of the study of the theory are the ones who understand the meaning of the clergy calls will show the correct attitude of obedience to any applicable laws, regulations both in the general campus, dorm rules, regulations and rules class faculty. When the students have demonstrated an attitude of obedience that is true in every applicable regulation, the result obtained is that students will get good value from the results of their study, healthy relationships with their peers and reliable organizations on campus. The results of field research conducted by distributing questionnaires to all students who are studying Philosophy Theology in UNAI produce a virtually all the data that respondents understand well the meaning of their priestly calling. Although there are still some respondents were still undecided even disagree with his understanding of the priestly calling. Regarding obedience to the rules on campus, almost all respondents answered with strongly agree, that they are obedient students of all applicable laws on campus UNAI. But there are still one or two students who have not fully comply with all applicable laws in UNAI campus. For this achievement, almost all students Philosophy Theology responded strongly agree that they are the ones who excel, both in terms of academic achievement and non-academic achievements.
