ANALISIS FILOSOFIS PENTINGNYA PENGARUH PERANAN KEPEMIMPINAN MAJELIS JEMAAT TERHADAP KETERLIBATAN ANGGOTA DALAM PELAYANAN PENGINJILAN DI GEREJA MASEHI ADVENT-HARI KETUJUH DISTRIK PASER DAERAH KALIMANTAN KAWASAN TIMUR BERDASARKAN KISAH PARA RASUL 20:28
XMLABSTRACT Thesis Title : PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE ROLE OF THE LEADERSHIP OF THE CONGREGATION ON THE INVOLVEMENT OF CHURCH MEMBERS INEVANGELICAL SERVICES IN THE SEVENTH- DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, PASER DISTRICT EAST KALIMANTAN REGION BASED ON THE BOOK OF ACTS 20:28. Fil Date of Complation : April, 30, 2021 The Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) Paser District is one of the districts in the East Kalimantan Mission (EKM) which has an office in Balikpapan, Paser District. A relatively small district compared to other districts in East Kalimantan because it only consists of five congregations, among others: jemat Batu Kajang, Kuaro congregation, Babulu congregation, ITCI congregation and Nazareth congregation. Initially all of these congregations when organized had a minimum of twenty-five baptismal members. However, over time, some of these congregations grew so that there was an increase in membership (quantity) but some were stagnant and did not even grow but on the contrary. In fact, more of these five churches are not growing than are growing in quantity. Of the five congregations in this district, the Batu Kajang congregation has the largest number of members. Meanwhile, the members of Kuaro, Babulu and Nazareth congregations are very few. Even the ITCI congregation according to information has only three members left. The condition of the members who are very limited in number is what causes the elected assembly members to be the same person from year to year. There are church leaders, church secretaries and church treasurers who have served for years because of very limited human resources, no other members have the willingness and ability to become members of the council. So that among lay members the problem arises, namely not being involved in evangelistic services on the grounds that the council is not an example in evangelism, is not active in activities on the grounds that they have never been delegated responsibility for activities in the church, are not happy to attend services on the grounds that the congregation council behave and behave unpleasant. The objectives of this study are, first: So that the members of the congregation and the leadership of the Paser District Seventh-day Adventist Church understand the importance of exemplary roles in evangelistic ministry so that members are also actively involved in evangelistic services in the church. Second, that the members of the congregation and the leadership of the Paser District Seventh-day Adventist congregation understand the important role of delegation to members in evangelistic ministry activities organized by the church. Third, that the members of the congregation and the leadership of the-Adventist church congregation Paser District Seventh day understand the importance of the role of attitudes and behavior that are preferred so that members enjoy attending services. The theoretical benefit of this research is that members and leadership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church council in the Paser district of East Kalimantan know the importance of the leadership role of the congregation council in exemplary, delegation and pleasant attitudes and behaviors that can motivate members to be involved in evangelistic services. Because members and church council leaders may not fully understand how important this leadership role is to the involvement of members in evangelistic ministry. In the Research Method, the writer uses quantitative research in which this type of research uses numbers as the source of the variable data. According to the time, this type of research is a type of cross sectional where the research is carried out in one time only. The location of the research was carried out at SDA district Paser, East Kalimantan. In this study, the population is SDA members, Paser district, East Kalimantan Mission (EKM), with a population of 124 members. There are five congregations in Paser district, namely: the Getsemani Batu Kajang congregation, the Kuaro congregation, the Babulu congregation, the Seniung Jaya congregation and the ITCI congregation. The population characteristic used was 124 homogeneous people. With the composition: 35 people in Getsemani Batu Kajang congregation, 37 people in Kuaro congregation, 16 people in Maranatha Babulu congregation, 31 people in Seniung Jaya congregation and 5 people in ITCI congregation. The data collection technique used for this research is the use of a questionnaire, which is a number of statements used to obtain data from participants about the things under study. The conclusions and results of this study are as follows: First, the leadership role of the church council in the involvement of members in evangelistic services based on Acts 20:28 is 4.06. Thus, the average response of members of the Paser district congregation, East Kalimantan, is that they agree on the importance of the leadership role of the church council through example to members to increase involvement in evangelistic ministries. Second, the leadership role of the church council through delegating members in evangelistic services is 4.14. Thus the average response of members of the Paser district congregation, East Kalimantan, is that they agree on the importance of the leadership role of the church council through member delegation, which can increase enthusiasm in evangelistic ministry involvement. Third, the importance of the leadership role of the church council in preferred attitudes and behaviors so that members enjoy coming to the service of 4.04. Thus, the average response of members of the Paser district congregation, East Kalimantan, is to agree on the importance of the role of leadership in the attitudes and behavior that are liked so that members are happy to come to church services.
