ABSTRACT PROCESS OF MANAGING CORRESPONDENCE IN PT. TASPEN (PERSERO) BRANCH OF DENPASAR Written By: Kristina Kanora Mburu NIM: 1533004 The purpose of this study aims to find out how process of managing correspondence in PT.Taspen (Persero) branch of Denpasar office because the activities of correspondence on an organization or company is one of the important administrative activities. Therefore, the activities of correspondence should get full attention of where the letter as a tools for achieving goals for an organization or company so we need a good letter management. This study used field work practice for four hundred twenty hours. In the process of correspondence activities carried out are managing incoming mail and out going mail. Types of letter that are often manage by PT. Taspen (Persero) Denpasar branch office are letter concerning civil servants and participants of pension participants. Example of incoming letters are letters stating periodic paychecks, certificate of retirement and out going mail such as pension identification card as well as validation letter of pension wherw PT.Taspen Of Denpasar is a company engaget in pension and savings insurance civil servants. The management of correspondence in PT. Taspen has been running well but it needs to be improved in terms of responding to incoming mail so that the sender don’t need to confirm into the acceptance letter whether the letter has been received or not. In giving responses to incoming mail is important because there will be a good cooperation and establish relationships with other parties both organizations or companies and individuals.
